WWE has already released a few Superstars today from NXT and the 205 Live brand. Now another big cut has come down for the cruiserweight show.

The company has released Fandango, Ever Rise, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, and writer Kenice Mobley. Now we can add another name to that list.

PW Insider reports that August Grey has been release from his contract. This is an unfortunate cut. Prior to his WWE debut, he was known as Anthony Greene, and he received a lot of attention.

August Grey wrested for Chaotic Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, Northeast Wrestling, World Xtreme Wrestling and more during his time on the indies prior to entering WWE. Now he can make a return to those companies once again.

It seems that WWE is slashing the 205 Live roster just after a report came out saying that there are plans to provide a bigger spotlight on the Cruiserweight Division. Now August Grey won’t be a part of that new focus.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
