Ruby Riott, real name Dori Prange, was part of the recent wave of WWE releases and plenty of fans and fellow wrestlers were shocked by the news. She also has no intention of going back to the Heidi Lovelace name, despite the fact that her release caused that former name to trend.

The former Riott Squad member has change her name on Instagram to: “Ruby Soho.” It appears that could be her new name as many wrestlers first make their big name reveals in this fashion.

Ruby Riott while she loved the Heidi Lovelace name, explained why she won’t be going back to that name on the indies this time around.

“Nobody ever pronounced Lovelace correctly. Why come up with a wrestling name that people can’t pronounce? That’s a terrible idea. A lot of people thought I was going to go back to it. I have no intentions of going back to Heidi Lovelace. I am shopping for a new name I would like to keep [the name Ruby] if it’s possible. I feel like it fits me. Ruby came from Ruby Soho and that’s dear to my heart.”

She went on to explain how Ruby is a name that means so much to her now, and that will be the one she keeps. We’ll have to see where Ruby Soho ends up next, but she will likely benefit any roster she is a part of.
