Ricky Saints’ future in NXT could be changing soon, as new reports suggest WWE has already started talking about a possible main roster call-up.

During the April 21, 2026 episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Ricky Saints will face Shiloh Hill next week. Later in the show, Saints made his intentions clear when he attacked Hill backstage, adding more tension ahead of their upcoming match.

That moment came as new backstage talk started picking up about Saints’ long-term future in NXT. According to a report from Bodyslam.net, WWE has already discussed the possibility of calling Saints up to the main roster.

However, the situation may not be that simple. Another source indicated that The CW Network would prefer to keep at least one experienced and established male star on NXT for now. That request comes after several recent call-ups that have reshaped the brand’s roster.

Names recently moved up from NXT include Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Oba Femi, Ethan Page, and Joe Hendry, leaving fewer veteran-level names on the brand than before.

Saints has built a strong résumé since arriving in NXT, making his debut in February 2025 and quickly rising through the ranks. During his time on the brand, he captured both the NXT Championship and the NXT North American Championship, establishing himself as one of the division’s most accomplished names in a short period of time.

With his match against Shiloh Hill now set and main roster discussions underway, Saints appears to be standing at a major turning point in his WWE run. Whether he stays to anchor NXT or makes the jump to Raw or SmackDown could depend on how WWE balances roster depth with television expectations.

Do you think Ricky Saints is ready for a WWE main roster call-up, or should he stay in NXT a little longer to help lead the brand? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
