The Hurt Business was undoubtedly one of the most dominant groups in the history of WWE and truly elevated the status of Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.

Unfortunately, the faction was broken up a couple of months ago on  Monday Night RAW, in a decision that was widely criticized by fans and Superstars alike. It was ultimately Vince McMahon’s decision. In fact, even Bobby Lashley said the breakup ‘hurt his heart.’

While speaking to Fightful, Bobby Lashley was asked about The Hurt Business. The WWE Champion stated that there is a possibility of The Hurt Business getting back together, which means Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander could be returning to the group eventually.

“It should be one of those times where you say ‘never say never.’ It was a hell of a group and did great viewing numbers. There was a great synergy between the group. We enjoy it. It’s one of those things where it’s something that we can always come back to it. In the business, there is always different things that happen. Cedric and Shelton were going after each other for a while and they had to settle their differences. They had to see if they can swim on their own for a little bit. There is the possibility of coming back together. We never know what’s going to happen. I love those guys to death and it was a great time. I like what we did with the business. If you go around the business now, you see a lot more suits and guys cleaning themselves up. Hurt Business was a part of that. We kept a high style and a lot of class while beating people up.”

We certainly hope The Hurt Business makes their return eventually as fans would love to see them back. Before that, Bobby Lashley is scheduled to defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view. We will have to see if he will be able to successfully retain his title or not.
