Vince McMahon is a very busy man and it is incredibly difficult to get a moment of his time. Apparently, this left Wesley Blake without speaking with The Chairman once during the entire time he was with the company.
Blake was included in a recent wave of WWE releases. He was let go in April and now he is looking on toward his next goal. There are a lot of rumors that he could re-form a tag team with Buddy Murphy at this point since they are both free agents now.
While speaking to Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling Podcast, Wesley Blake revealed that he didn’t get a chance to talk with Vince McMahon one time during his stint on the main roster that lasted well over a year.
“I never talked to him in the whole time that I was up there. The only time I did see him was after our match at Money in the Bank. I saw him there and he talked to all the teams for a little bit, probably two or three minutes, and that’s about the only time that I really had any interaction with him.”
Blake was on the main roster for over a year, but that doesn’t mean he was used a lot. He was part of the Forgotten Sons when that stable was nixed due to a pro Trump tweet from Jaxson Ryker during the Black Lives Matter protests. Then Wesley Blake hug out in catering for the longest time until he was made a Knight of the Lone Wolf alongside Steve Cutler, but that faction built around King Corbin was soon cut when Cutler was fired after catching COVID-19.
We’ll have to see what’s next for Wesley Blake, but he really didn’t have the best luck on the WWE main roster for some reason. Perhaps a conversation with Vince McMahon could have helped.
What’s your take on this situation? Should Vince McMahon get to know his Superstars a bit better? Sound off in the comments!
