Brodie Lee Jr is carrying on his father’s legendary name and he certainly wants to walk in his large footsteps as well. This will apparently include him becoming a pro wrestler when the time is right. He is already geared up and has no other focus except to become a pro wrestler for AEW as well.
Negative 1 already has a deal with AEW and a job waiting for him when he becomes of age. He is also known to show up on AEW programming as a member, and possibly leader, of the Dark Order.
While speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Negative 1 had a chance to address his future. He doesn’t see himself doing anything except following in Brodie Lee’s footsteps to become a pro wrestler as well.
“There is zero percent chance I’m going to be anything else but a professional wrestler. I have been doing wrestling since I was one. I’ve watched wrestling since I was one. I’ve done it, and I’m going to do it because my dad did it. I’m not going to stop and not relive his legacy.”
Brodie Lee Jr also addressed his friendship with Tay Conti. He has been known to accompany her to the ring for her matches along with Anna Jay, prior to Anna’s injury. Now that Anna Jay is not able to lead Tay Conti to the ring, Negative 1 is there to help out.
“I came out with her (Anna Jay) and Tay for the first time. We came out with each other and I did the heart thing (symbol with his hands), with Anna. Then Anna got injured. I was like, ‘Who’s going to come out with you?’ She said, ‘I don’t know.’ I said, ‘Maybe it can be me.’ We started doing it and we clicked. Now we are best friends.”
We will have to see what is in the future. Brodie Lee Jr recently made headlines because his mother said he’s not allowed to attend more AEW shows until he gets his grades up. Apparently, he’s been slacking in his schoolwork, because he already knows what he wants to do when he gets older. He’s doing it now and appearing for AEW.
