Adnan Virk was hired as part of  the Monday Night RAW commentary team as he made his debut right after WrestleMania 37. Unfortunately for Virk, he simply couldn’t get used to his role as a WWE commentator and was panned by fans every week.

In the end, Adnan Virk made his departure from the company and stated that the weekly ”grind” when it came to travelling was simply too much for him and his family. It was earlier reported that Virk was going to be fired before their mutual release.

While speaking on The Dan Le Batard Show, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about Adan Virk leaving WWE, where he stated that Virk simply didn’t have the required knowledge before getting hired by the company. Ross added that fans judged Virk far too quickly.

“Adnan got put on TV, in a very unique product, before he was ready from a product knowledge standpoint. The wrestling fans today, with social media and all the information flow, they have a great sense of what they like and what might be wrong. He’s a solid broadcaster and they rushed to judgment too quick. You have to know the terms, the language, and the culture. That’s where he was short.”

Adnan Virk’s replacement Jimmy Smith, who used to be a play-by-play commentator in Bellator, had a much better reception as a commentator on Monday Night RAW. It is likely Smith will improve in good time and fans will be glad about that.
