Vince McMahon has his own reasons for doing things his way. This didn’t help Aleister Black as the former NXT Champion never clicked with The Chairman. It also caused a US Title run to get nixed in the process.

Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett were all cut today. Some of those people wanted to leave the company. This move brought even more weight to the idea that Vince McMahon is preparing to sell WWE.

During a Twitch stream with his wife Zelina Vega, Black revealed that Vince McMahon cancelled the thought of giving him the United States Title. The reason for that was he didn’t want Aleister Black’s first title win to take place with no fans.

“There was a moment where I was supposed to win, I think it was the U.S. Title, but then Vince’s consensus was I don’t want to have him win his first title in front of no audience. So there was always good stuff. There’s a lot of good stories, a lot of almost happened moments, so I can’t be negative.”

Aleister Black’s time with WWE sadly came to an end and now he won’t get to win any titles in front of live fans. The company is getting back on the road in July and some were excited about seeing a newly returned Aleister Black as well.

We’ll have to see what is in his future, but you can never count out the idea of any released Superstar, including Tommy End, coming back to WWE after proving themselves as an even bigger star elsewhere.
