WWE hasn’t landed on an official date or location for SummerSlam yet. An announcement has not been made, but it will come in time. Right now there are a lot of factors at play.

Previous reports said that SummerSlam will take place on August 21st in Las Vegas. That seems like a poor choice considering the Manny Pacquiao fight scheduled in town on the same night. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

We also reported that the Business Journal listed many NFL stadiums that the company is considering. The report saying that Allegiant Stadium is a lock might not be 100% at this time.

Fightful Select reports that there “are a lot of wheels in motion” concerning when and where SummerSlam will take place.

The varying reports that we’ve seen regarding locations have all seemingly been true at some point, but there was much back and forth over where and when the show should actually take place, but we’re told WWE hoped to announce the news by Memorial Day.

That Memorial Day deadline might give the company a ton of time to fill an NFL stadium, but they obviously haven’t landed on an announcement at this time. We will have to see what happens in this situation as there are still some things to figure out.

Where do you think WWE will hold SummerSlam this years? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
