AEW signed a new contract with WarnerMedia that will see them expand in big way. They are getting a new hour-long show and AEW: Ramage is coming in August. The company is also moving to TBS in 2022, likely due to the new NHL deal that was just signed.

There are a lot of questions concerning AEW’s new deal with WarnerMedia. The current plan is for their content to remain the same, so the profanity and blood will stick around. The TNT Title will also stay with the company despite their network move.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked how much AEW is getting from this new contract. He didn’t know the exact figure, but he did confirm that it is “over $10 million.”

The company’s new show AEW: Rampage will debut on Friday, August 13th at 10:00 PM. That will provide fans who watched SmackDown (or didn’t) a chance to tune in for some late-night pro wrestling every Friday.

AEW received a big financial injection with his new deal. That was something that Tony Khan spoke about in his reaction to this big expansion for the company. We’ll have to see how the company uses that money, but they are getting over $10 million for that new hour-long show.

Do you think AEW Rampage will ever beat WWE SmackDown in viewership? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
