RVD’s style was unique and he brought a ton of attention to himself in ECW, Impact Wrestling, WWE, and anywhere else he traveled. All of that work finally saw him receive an induction into the 2021 WWE Hall Of Fame. This was a very special moment for a lot of people.

During the new Icons special dedicated to RVD, Vince McMahon and Triple H are shown at the WWE Hall Of Fame with the Whole F’n Show. They had a moment to tell him just how much he changed the business.

After Triple H told RVD that he changed the business, Rob Van Dam quipped, “for better or worse, right?” — “No, for the better,” Triple H assured him. Then Vince McMahon told RVD how so many Superstars tried to emulate him later on. It was a real humbling moment for RVD, a man usually brimming with confidence.

RVD shared this clip on Twitter with a caption saying: “Watch this today!!” His WWE Icons special is now available on Peacock.

The WWE Hall of Famer also had a chance to screen that documentary at the old ECW Arena, a location perfect for such a show. RVD influenced a ton of Superstars after him, and it’s great that Vince McMahon was able to tell RVD about it personally.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
