AEW allowed some of their talent to work show that Alberto Del Rio was on. Del Rio is currently awaiting trial for kidnapping and sexual assault. This caused Joey Ryan to point out how he has no charges against him, yet he is 100% blacklisted.

One fan fired back at Joey Ryan to say, “You’ve got at least 18 allegations of sexual assault made against you & here you are on Twitter playing semantics over the wording.”

Ryan saw this tweet and had to defend himself. He explained that there were not 18 allegations of sexual assault. Some accusations were made after communications through direct messages, and he claimed that only 4 accused him of a crime, but there was evidence to directly contradict their story.

This is a false narrative. I don’t have “18 allegations of sexual assault.” Most weren’t physical, some were just flirting or even non-sexual DMs. Of the 4 that accuse me of a crime, there’s evidence that directly contradicts the stories told. Does evidence or due process matter?

Joey Ryan made it clear that he’s not trying to get involved in pro wrestling again. He’s just trying to make a point. The Alberto Del Rio story did rile up some interest and Joey Ryan had to chime in as well.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
