WWE Releases Chelsea Green From Contract

Chelsea Green was injured during her WWE SmackDown debut last year. She recovered from her injury and got medically cleared, but now she will not see that return.

WWE announced today that they have released Billie Kay and Mickie James. Chelsea Green’s name was added to that list.

Chelsea Green recently signed new three-year deal with WWE. This release is certainly surprising because a lot of fans were expecting her return soon. She dropped photos of herself backstage at SmackDown following reports that she was cleared for a return to action.

Odds are Chelsea Green will be just fine after her WWE release. She has friends all over the pro wrestling world, including Brandi and Cody Rhodes. As luck would have it, AEW really needs to beef up their women’s division. Odds are a 90-day non-compete clause will be in place.
