Andrade was released from his WWE contract because he requested it. Now he is free to go as he pleases because there was reportedly no non-compete clause associated with his release.

Angel Garza was Andrade’s final opponent in WWE. Their match in October 2020 was Andrade’s final in the company. They were also a tag team led by Zelina Vega. He obviously saw the news of El Idolo’s release.

In a tweet, translated from Spanish, Angel Garza said:

Always watching our backs, best of luck carnal! @AndradeElIdolo success wherever you go … as we say in the north “He who is a good rooster, sings wherever he wants”

Andrade is still likely to be great things in the pro wrestling world, but it won’t be for WWE. Hopefully, we will see him again, and he could always go as Andrade as well.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
