WWE Network is moving to Peacock on March 18th, 2021, and that will be a great deal for the company. The initial numbers that Peacock touted were a bit misrepresented.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, new data has revealed that the Peacock streaming service doesn’t have nearly the number of active users as they first said. The number was said to be 33 million, but that number includes a ton of people who don’t use the service at all.

Peacock comes free with Comcast subscriptions. Other providers also offer discounts for the service, or it comes in a package deal. In total, only about 11.3 million of the people who can watch Peacock actually take advantage of the service.

According to a memo sent out by NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell, there is a thought that Peacock might have to merge with WarnerMedia in order to compete with the other big streaming companies. We will have to see how much business WWE Network brings to the table, but they are going to be more active users.
