Spoiler For Upcoming Feud On AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite featured a big match for Lee Johnson this week. He scored a pinfall in his tag team match, and then he got to cut a promo afterward. That promo could have dropped a big hint about what is next for him.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Johnson’s promo after his big win on Dynamite. He thanked everyone around him except for QT Marshall. That was a pretty big omission to hear.

“QT handled it perfectly, like he didn’t over exaggerate, and you’re probably not going to notice it unless you’re looking for it and they play it back to tell the story. You’re going to see that QT starts a little bit confused at the beginning and at the end he’s a little upset because he’s the actual trainer and he’s not mentioned at all, but everyone else even Arn and Brandi are mentioned who aren’t even the trainer. Obviously we’re building toward a Lee Johnson and QT Marshall feud.”

Meltzer then said that Cody has been studying the Bruno Sammartino vs Larry Zbyszko feud, so a teacher vs student rivalry is apparently on the way.

We’ll have to see how things turns out. QT Marshall vs Lee Johnson could be a teacher vs student rivalry that brings a lot of attention and some intense in-ring action.

Lee Johnson’s time in AEW is just getting started as it was revealed during Dynamite that Tony Khan inked him to full time contract.
