WWE is always looking to lock down new names with a trademark, and they took care of another handful just recently.

According to Heel By Nature, WWE registered trademarks on several new NXT Superstar names. A few of them are appearing in the 2021 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

On January 19th, the company filed trademarks for Zoey Stark, Sareena Sandhu, Gigi Dolin, Duke Hudson, Cora Jade, and Rohan Raja. They were added to the database on January 22nd.

The company changed those Superstar names when they entered WWE, and now they own them. At this time, it is unclear who Duke Hudson will be.

Those trademarks were all registered in the typical way that all pro wrestling trademarks are registered. That wording included: “Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.”

We will have to see how much of an impression those incoming names will make in WWE, but the company is preparing for the future in regards to each of their names.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
