WWE allowed some Superstars to enter the Royal Rumble match on their own by declaring their spot. Others have to qualify for those entries. We received clarification today on why this is the case, and we have an update on that announcement.

Adam Pearce tweeted out today saying: “It’s actually pretty simple: Those that have been granted the ability to simply declare entry into the Royal Rumble *by management* are free to do so. Those that haven’t must qualify. I don’t write the rules, I enforce them.” That was not something he came up with on his own.

Ringside News has learned that the tweet was handed to Adam Pearce by WWE creative. This is actually the reason why WWE is treating some Superstars differently as they head into the 2021 Royal Rumble match.

We were also told that this kind of thing happens “all the time” as different social media posts progress the storyline. This piece of Royal Rumble information is official and should be taken as more than just a tweet.

We will have to see if WWE references Adam Pearce’s tweet on their next television show. The company wanted that information out there on purpose.
