Update: Amanda Huber has spoken with Ringside News and denied this report. She also cleared up the situation for us all.

Original: Brodie Lee’s passing was tragic, and it came without warning. He was seemingly fine; then he couldn’t breathe and the situation became dire in rapid fashion.

Amanda Huber, Brodie Lee’s wife, said that he did not suffer from COVID-19.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Brodie Lee suffered from pre-existing lung damage, but it was not noted what that damage was. When they figured out what was wrong it was too late to save Brodie Lee.

Regarding the death of Brodie Lee, there was apparently lung damage that he had previously that was not diagnosed with prior to his lungs not working but even when they figured that out they weren’t able to save him

Brodie Lee’s memory will live on through his family and friends. He left a lot of memories and his life will continue to be celebrated for years to come.

His memory will not leave the pro wrestling world any time soon. Brodie Lee Jr. has already signed legit contract with the company so he will continue his father’s legacy as well. He will have the option of joining AEW when he becomes of legal age.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
