Shaquille O’Neal’s Commitment To AEW Could Be In Question

AEW Dynamite included a segment with Shaquille O’Neal this week. Brandi Rhodes capped off the segment by launching glass of water in Shaq’s face. The only match that was specifically mentioned was Jade Cargill vs Brandi Rhodes, but they haven’t closed the book on Shaq getting involved.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he was “warned” about Shaq. There’s no guarantee that Shaq will do everything needed to really take it seriously. This is one of the reasons why WWE didn’t go with Shaq vs Big Show.

“That’s one of the things I was warned about with Shaq. He likes to do things, but then he doesn’t take it seriously. Some people warned me about Shaq with Cody that he might not take it too seriously as much as these guys want.”

The impression was given that Shaq and Cody could still find their way to each other. Shaq dissed Brandi Rhodes which caused her to throw a glass of water in the NBA Hall of Famer’s face. Cody could naturally want to defend his wife’s honor.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Shaquille O’Neal in AEW, but he got off to a wet start this week.
