Rhea Ripley fought hard to become the NXT Women’s Champion, and it looked as though the trajectory of her career would take her to great heights. The book is far from closed for Ripley in WWE, but she experienced quite a backslide.
While speaking to Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory, Ripley’s descent down the roster was addressed. Rhea Ripley admitted that her confidence was shaken when they started to change how her character was booked.
The process of re-building her character has been a difficult one, but Rhea Ripley is determined to make that rise back to the top a successful one.
“I’m not really sure, it did feel like that though. I have gone through a stage where I did start losing the confidence in myself because I was just not being portrayed in the way that I was, you know? I started, like even now I’m slowly building myself back up from it. My confidence was definitely tainted a little bit which sucks because I try and like keep it up and do my best all the time. I don’t know if it was just something inside my head that just wasn’t getting the picture. I don’t know. I got a little little bit lost.”
“Right now I feel like I’m getting back on track especially doing all the things that I’ve done like building myself back up has been really, really hard. I’m not gonna lie it’s been difficult, and I’ve been lost at times, but I’ve definitely like found my track now and I’m like now getting back on it.”
Rhea Ripley then said, “that’s life.” The journey hasn’t been an easy one for her, but she has persevered. and now it appears she has a spot coming for her at WarGames.
Triple H said that there was a greater plan for Rhea Ripley when she lost the NXT Women’s Title. We are still apparently still watching that materialize.
