Welcome to Ringside News’ results for WWE SmackDown on 20/2020.

Tonight’s SmackDown is the final show ahead of WWE Survivor Series on Sunday night, The marquee match tonight will see Daniel Bryan return following the heinous attack by Jey Uso, and that’s who Bryan will be facing. Can Bryan seek revenge, or will Jey be even more violent after losing to Drew McIntyre last week.

Speaking of the WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre will be on the show tonight to sign a contract with Roman Reigns for their huge Survivor Series showdown. Will this be a violent showdown, or will WWE wait until Sunday before allowing the two to get physical?

The only other things we know about tonight’s show is the final members of Team SmackDown need to be finalized, and Seth Rollins will go one-on-one with Murphy one last time to end their rivalry. And that’s the sparse preview for SmackDown on this pallindrome date. Let us know what you’re excited to see and enjoy the show!

SmackDown

Tonight’s SmackDown opens with the Street Profits backstage in the champion’s lounge and they’re hyped for Survivor Series. They’re excited for The Undertaker’s return and Ford rolls his eyes back. Big E appears and he’s wearing Undertaker’s hat. Big E says he’s excited to see the Deadman also, but the Profits are only two days away from facing the greatest tag team of all-time, the New Day.

Ford says New Day are stepping in the ring with the men who are too fine for wine and all they do is win. Dawkins says they’ll break bread anytime but on Sunday they will beat E’s boys a$$’s. Big E says they don’t have to prove it to him, because Woods and Kofi are here tonight, then he introduces his boys to the ring.

Woods says they know they don’t go here anymore, but they’re here to talk about Survivor Series and they needed to address the Street Profits. Woods says they’ll be dead after the match and Kofi says that’s too far but Woods says it was just a segue to talk about The Undertaker. They pay tribute to Undertaker by lying down and sitting up and then out comes Sami Zayn.

Zayn says the only reason The Undertaker is leaving now is because he knows he owes him some payback. But WWE are against him as usual and they’ve got him busy with Bobby Lashley to keep him away from Undertaker. Woods says Sami looks like a downbeat dad who just made down-payment on a one-bedroom apartment and they make fun of him until Baron Corbin comes out.

King Corbin lambasts New Day for being back on SmackDown and says they need to get the hell out of his ring and off his show. Zayn agrees and out comes Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode. Ziggler says he has a problem with Zayn but that can wait, because New Day shouldn’t be here. Ziggler says they cost them a tag title shot and Kofi says they can have a title match if they want, but instead they coerce Corbin and Zayn into a match against Roode and Ziggler. The two heels seem about to throw-down when Ziggler and Roode attack New Day, then out comes Street Profits to clear the ring. It’s gonna be four-on-four after the break.

Daniel Bryan and Kayla Braxton have their real interview and we see footage of Jey Uso beating Bryan a few weeks ago. Bryan says he saw the interview Kayla did with Jey and he said nothing he did was personal. He believes Jey, because he has a devil on his shoulder. But everybody has a devil on one shoulder, and an angel on the other. He gets fired-up saying he couldn’t pick his daughter up because of his injuries, and tonight Jey should be worried. But it’s nothing personal.

Adam Pearce is backstage, complimenting Otis and letting him know he is officially a part of Team SmackDown. Chad Gable appears and congratulates Otis and they walk off together. The winner of this match will join Team SmackDown, but out comes Bayley before it starts and joins Bianca Belair on commentary. The bell rings and Tamina hits a superkick right off the bat and Nattie rolls out of the ring. Tamina goes out and throws Natalya into the steel steps, then gets her back inside for a two-count. We see a replay of Drew McIntyre confronting Roman Reigns last week, then beating Randy Orton on RAW to become the new WWE Champion. McIntyre make his way to the ring to sign the contract for their match at Survivor Series.

*Commercial Break*

Roman Reigns comes out alongside Paul Heyman and takes his sweet time getting to the ring. Adam Pearce is here to officiate the signing. Roman speaks without a microphone and says he knew Drew could beat Randy, he knew he would do it. Because he’s been in his shoes and he learned all the same lessons…years ago. But Drew is in the right place at the wrong time. Drew says he knows Roman is trying to piss him off so he flips the table and hits him, but he’s already got his match.

Drew says he wants to get to the point; Roman told him to win the title, and he did. Then he told him to come here and make the match official, and that’s why he’s here. McIntyre signs the contract and hands it to Reigns, then tells him it’s his move and tells him to prepare for war. Reigns stops himself and says the only person that advises him is Paul Heyman. This is his show. WWE is his. And he needs to teach Drew one last lesson; on Sunday he won’t like the brutal truth, that he is a secondary Champion. A stand-in.

Roman says he’s the Champion. The face of WWE. The tribal chief and the head of the table. One day Drew will have the opportunity to be the man, the face and the Champion, and when he does he will look back at this and thank Roman. Drew will think about these moments and love Roman for the lessons he imposed. Reigns signs the contract and says Drew will always be his favourite number two. Heyman hands Roman his title and they leave as McIntyre watches on.

As the Mysterio family celebrate with Murphy, Sasha Banks’ music hits and The Boss makes her way to the ring.

Michael Cole is in the ring with Asuka and Sasha Banks. Sasha says she beat Asuka to become Champion earlier this year, and Asuka knows she can do it again. Asuka screams in Japanese and says “you can’t see me”, to which Sasha says Asuka knows she is the one woman who can see her. Sasha says they can go right now if she wants, and she was born ready for Asuka. Carmella attacks Banks from behind and runs her into the turnbuckles. Carmella hangs her in the tree of woe and shouts at her, then goes to the apron and kicks her in the face.

Kayla Braxton interviews Jey Uso backstage and asks about Daniel Bryan. Jey says he got the green light to talk to her, and he also got the green light to finish what he started with Daniel Bryan. He says Bryan acts like he is a dog taking orders but he wanted to put Bryan through a table. And the only devil around him, is himself.
