WWE released a lot of Superstars and other staff on April 15th, and some of them signed with other companies already. Vince McMahon’s company apparently tried to get a couple of them to sign new deals after they were let go. They didn’t offer them the same money that they lost.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE did reach out to “several of the people” they let go, but the deals they offered were not the same at all. This is presumably for released Superstars and other staffers. It was reported that the company offered those people much less money.

We’ve been told that several of the people who left and signed elsewhere did get offers to return, but for lower money.

WWE has reported interest in bringing back No Way Jose, but it’s unknown what the current status is in that situation. The company turned record profits in the quarters since they released people on a massive scale, but WWE isn’t prepared to start spending the same amount of money to get those individuals back.
