Ronda Rousey isn’t shy about speaking her mind at all. She had called wrestling “fake” a couple of times, and that drew a lot of animosity from fans. JBL thinks it was a genius move because she hit a goldmine.

While speaking to Sportskeeda, JBL was asked about what Ronda Rousey said about pro wrestling being “fake fighting.” He doesn’t know her personally, but everyone speaks highly of her. He might not know Rousey’s intentions for saying what she did, but it certainly drew a response.

“She [Ronda Rousey] was the hottest thing about six months ago with all that tension she got on herself. I don’t know if she did that on purpose or not, where she called ‘fake’ wrestling. But she sure got a lot of heat off of it. I mean, if she didn’t [do it on purpose], she hit a goldmine. If she did [do it on purpose], she’s really smart. And she may be, I don’t know her. I don’t know either way. People say good things about her in the WWE that I’ve talked to.”

We’ll have to see if Ronda Rousey makes a return to WWE. There are a lot of questions concerning her status. The company initially inked deal with Rousey until April, 2021. Paul Heyman also suggested that the company might have figured out a new arrangement to extend her time under their umbrella.
