Matt Riddle is just Riddle now, and that name change could come with a new personality and a serious presentation. The jury is still out, but at least Riddle has has Vince McMahon’s attention

While speaking to Fightful, Riddle spoke about the backstage reaction after his loss on SmackDown. He failed to capture a spot on Team SmackDown for the Survivor Series. Sheamus beat him in that qualifying match, and people were surprised by how well he took it.

“I heard from several wrestlers who were like, ‘Yeah, we thought he was going to be boo-boo-faced because he was going to lose to Sheamus really quick after debuting on RAW. We thought he was just going to go out there and mope around but he didn’t, he made Sheamus look really great.’ Sheamus was thankful of that and, apparently when they came through, Vince McMahon was very fired up about it.”

Riddle is waiting for his next opportunity on the main roster. Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon is giving Riddle only what he believes he can handle. As time goes by, we might see him get even more of a spotlight.
