The world lost Tracy Smothers today. He passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 58-years-old.

The pro wrestling world reacted in droves when the news of his passing hit. This was a very hard loss for so many to take. Tracy Smothers was an instrumental part of so many careers throughout his life.

“Cowboy” James Storm put it best when he said: “He wasn’t one of the goods for sure, just one of the best ones.”

Tracy Smothers battled cancer for over a year prior to his passing. He thought that the battle was over, but more was found. His health declined from there and he was hospitalized again recently.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
