Lars Sullivan was put out of action last year with a knee injury, but he returned during the WWE Draft last week. There is a reason why it took him so long to make his return and it had nothing to do with Mitch Bennett.

Sullivan needed a knee operation while he was out of action. There was a complication when healing from this procedure according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He suffered an infection that he had to get over which set his return back a bit.

Sullivan had major knee surgery, and it got infected at one point keeping him out even longer. But he has been ready for some time and they waited until this week to bring him back.

WWE booked a match between Lars Sullivan and Jeff Hardy for this weeks’ Friday Night SmackDown. Sullivan and Braun Strowman are still being kept off the same brands to separate the company’s two big monster characters.
