Samoa Joe has been on commentary for a few months. He suffered a concussion and needed to be pulled from active competition. We’re not certain about his current medical status, but they have certainly been able to keep him on television.

While speaking to the Wilde On podcast, Samoa Joe commented on his current status in the company. He is enjoying his time on commentary, but his time in the ring isn’t done by any means.

“Right now I’m enjoying commentary on Raw. It’s been a fun challenge. Obviously, I’m not done in the ring by no means. I think right now I’m exploring things. Aside from that, I’m doing voice acting which is fun and very cool. It’s a very enjoyable thing. I have a project coming up with Warner Brothers.  I’m very fortunate and I’m very happy that I’m doing the things I’m doing right now.”

Samoa Joe is incredibly valuable in the ring, but his services are also very useful on commentary. It all depends on the progress of his recovery from concussion, but WWE doesn’t comment on concussion matters.
