Velveteen Dream is a polarizing individual and he is booked in a match at NXT TakeOver: 31 that could steal the show. Dream will take on KUSHIDA, and while no title is on the line both are looking to prove themselves in the black and gold brand.

While speaking to WWE The Bump, Triple H opened up about the KUSHIDA’s new attitude. He said that the former NJPW star needs to show that aggressive side and take what he wants. Now he has a chance to do so against Velveteen Dream.

KUSHIDA has a big stage to show his abilities at TakeOver: 31, but he also mustn’t get distracted by Velveteen Dream’s theatrics.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing [KUSHIDA] and Velveteen Dream because Dream has been one of the most consistent performers here, putting aside injuries and everything else — very charismatic, very flamboyant. This is a different kind of performer than what KUSHIDA is used to, so if he’s going to pull the aggression card and take things to another level if he’s going to take things to another level this is the time to do it and he can’t get flustered by theatrics. He can’t be flustered by you know Velveteen Dream’s persona. He’s gotta go out there and take what he wants and he’s got all the skills to do it.”
