AEW Dynamite ended this week with a Parking Lot Fight between the Best Friends and Santana & Ortiz. That bloody parking lot fight ended with Trent’s mom raising a middle finger high in the air as she drove the Best Friends off in her van. How did AEW put it all together?
Tony Khan answered a very good question about the parking lot fight’s production. He explained that it was done in one shot. They had to bleep out some F Bombs, but they were able to do it in “one amazing take.”
It was all shot at once in one take. No edits other than dropping the audio on the F word. One amazing take.
The pandemic gave pro wrestling companies a lot more freedom to cut together cinematic matches to their liking. AEW presented a different feel for their parking lot brawl, but they didn’t need to cut the cameras and re-set anything in the process.
