Becky Lynch was riding a career high as The Man and ready to start another cycle around WrestleMania holding championship gold in WWE. Then her pregnancy stopped her in-ring career in its tracks.
While speaking with People, Seth Rollins discussed how Becky Lynch handled her pregnancy and sitting at home. This was something they were trying for, but she had no idea it would happen so soon. Due to the pandemic, Hollywood was closed down and Rollins revealed that any meetings that Lynch had were also “out the window.”
He said that Becky Lynch is “the hardest working person” he’s ever met and she wants to be productive. This has been a very frustrating time for her as she’s left with little to do to occupy her time. She did find some things that might be coming down the line.
“With this, it was just like, she’s going 100 miles an hour, had the busiest year of her life, and then ‘Bam!’ shut down. Done. You can’t do your work anymore. And ‘Bam!’ Hollywood is shut down. No meetings because of the pandemic, because of COVID. So that’s all out the window, too.”
“She’s the hardest working person I’ve ever met, so she wants to always be productive. That’s what gives her purpose on a day-to-day basis. So it’s been crazy for her, but she found some cool things that hopefully she’ll be able to share in the future.”
Becky Lynch will likely return to the ring, but that timetable hasn’t been addressed yet. Her baby is expected in December, and she has no plans of hanging up her boots for good.
The Man was ready to take on Hollywood and WWE when she became The Mom. Hopefully, those opportunities will still be available to her as her pregnancy and the pandemic dealt her two unexpected hands in 2020.
