Eric Young was one of the Superstars that WWE released on April 15th. They also cut several people across the company. Some of those people already found new work including Eric Young.

While speaking with Sportskeeda, EY confirmed that he has signed an exclusive contract with Impact Wrestling. He did not comment on how long his deal is for, but he is very excited about this new opportunity.

He also stated that he has plenty left in the tank and the real question is how much longer he wants to continue wrestling.

“Yeah, I am on an exclusive contract with IMPACT. I’m very excited about that!”

“I do have a lot of gas left in the tank. It’s just a question of how much longer I want to do it.”

Eric Young was in Impact Wrestling for years prior to leaving for WWE. His return to the company at Slammiversary saw the veteran performer inserted right into the Impact World Title match. He didn’t win the title that night, but now that he has an exclusive contract odds are he will eventually get another chance.

Young allegedly told Vince McMahon that he was a failure to his face while with WWE. Hopefully, things work out for him outside of WWE, because it would be a surprise to see him back.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
