FTR Got Heat In AEW For Doing Jim Cornette’s Podcast

FTR showed up on Jim Cornette’s podcast following their WWE release. Fans enjoyed hearing the Top Guys speak their minds, but AEW stars weren’t happy about the show they picked.

While speaking to Kenny McIntosh, FTR said the next morning was not too pleasant. AEW stars were a bit upset with them because they went on Cornette’s show due to the controversial things he said as Cash Wheeler revealed.

“It’s funny that you mention Jim Cornette because we did the Jim Cornette podcast and man the next day that we walked into the … actually the hotel, where all the AEW wrestlers were staying.”

Wheeler said there was an awkward silence when they walked through the door. Then Dax Harwood picked up the story like a true tag team partner.

“So awkward. They were all so mad at us because we did Jim Cornette’s podcast and that’s okay with us, we don’t care. If we make friends, we make friends and we have made a few. If they want to get mad at us because we’re trying to make AEW a better place and make it more money then we welcome that.”

We’ll have to see if FTR end up on Jim Cornette’s podcast again. Cornette said things in the past about AEW, especially how they booked Nyla Rose that was less than flattering. Joey Janela and Jim Cornette have famous tension.

Odds are if Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler want to speak with Jim Cornette again nothing is going to stop them.
