Sammy Guevara said he would “rape Sasha Banks” during a podcast in 2016 and he deeply regrets that now. He also made other comments during that podcast that he apologized for as well.

Sasha Banks has released a statement on the matter. She spoke with Sammy Guevara and he apologized. Then they had “an open discussion.”

The Boss had more to say on the matter as she stated that comments like the one he made have no place in society. She stated that a comment can have a massive impact on another person even if the person saying it doesn’t think it is a big deal.

We have to hold ourselves accountable for our actions and the words we say, and I hope this situation shows him that. I hope from this point on, in order for growth and change within our community to take place we all can continue to have these conversations.

Hopefully, this will help others realize that their words do matter. Sammy Guevara seemed apologetic about this occurrence, but Banks wanted to make sure the message is clear. It’s not okay to say things like that in any social setting.
