Charlotte Flair Might Have To Defend WWE NXT Women’s Title Before TakeOver

Charlotte Flair’s NXT Women’s Title defense was set for TakeOver: In Your House. June 7th’s WWE Network special will see her defend the title against both Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match. One of The Queen’s opponents might not be able to wait.

Io Shirai came very close to capturing the NXT Women’s Championship from Flair, but that match ended in DQ. Io is obviously not very happy about this. She fired off a tweet to NXT General Manager William Regal demanding a shot at Flair before June 7th.

This is an opportunity that belongs to me.

But @RealKingRegal I don’t want to wait!

We will have to see if William Regal grants Io Shirai’s request for a match prior to TakeOver: In Your House. There are still a few weeks until that event so they have time to rearrange the card a bit.
