Tributes have been pouring in from every corner of the wrestling world overnight after it was confirmed that the search for former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard had been suspended.
Gaspard was taken out to sea a few days ago, and since then, the authorities have been unable to find him.
The latest tribute has come from none other than WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
My prayers and hope for Shad Gaspard’s wife, son and family during this unthinkable time. Man, this is a tough one. A really tough one.
Great guy.
The Great One is feeling the same kind of pain as the rest of the WWE family right now as fans continue to hope that somehow, some way, Shad is found and is able to return to his family.
At this moment in time it doesn’t feel right to speculate one way or the other, and the focus needs to be on supporting his family in every way imaginable.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to them, and we pray for his safe return.
Update: Investigators have confirmed the identity of Shad Gaspard’s body. He was 39-years-old.
