Alberto Del Rio was arrested on sexual assault charges on May 9th. He was released on bail later that same afternoon. Now new chilling details are out about this case and it’s hard to read. This is your official warning for mature content.
Dave Meltzer discussed the case of Alberto Del Rio on Wrestling Observer Radio. Many more aspects of this crime were included in this re-telling according to the police affidavit.
Del Rio became angry at the victim after she wouldn’t admit to cheating on him. He slapped her, she asked what he was doing, and he slapped her again. Then he dragged her down stairs and slapped her at least 8 more times.
“She said he slapped her twice upstairs and dragged her down and slapped her at least 8 times downstairs. There was also a point where kinda blanked and doesn’t remember from there. It’s a really horrible story.”
“He had told her to wear a dress and dance for him, but she wouldn’t do it.”
She started to cry, but he told her if she did then he would “take her son and drop him off in the middle of the road somewhere.” Then he tied her up with boxing straps, put a sock in her mouth and “sexually assaulted her for several hours using various objects.”
Alberto also punched the victim in the back which left visible marks. The victim told police that she doesn’t remember much after he put his hands around her throat.
Del Rio was released on a $50,000 bond. He is still awaiting trial. We will keep a close eye on this story right here at Ringside News.
