CM Punk and Paul Heyman were a part of many big angles during the Second City Savior’s run in WWE. Heyman was his advocate backstage, but Punk doesn’t seem to be close with any of his former WWE co-workers.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about CM Punk and Paul Heyman’s current status. He wasn’t 100% certain, but if Punk’s track record is any indication of things the two aren’t talking anymore.

“There may be a small bit of communication, but I don’t think — you know they were super tight and it’s not that. I don’t think they’re super tight right now. Punk pretty much blew off from what I gathered a lot of guys who liked him and were friendly with him, he blew off a lot of those guys so you know that’s kinda like Kofi is another on. I don’t know what the relationship is with these guys right now, but I would be pretty confident that they’re not very close.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon rejected the idea of using CM Punk. He said that Punk can’t be trusted, and he “has issues.”

CM Punk is enjoying his time on WWE Backstage. He is also breaching out into acting with more roles coming his way. A return to the ring doesn’t seem very likely at this juncture. He might want to repair some relationships before he considers it.
