WWE is always looking to bring in the best talent they can. The company will be holding their first-ever South African tryouts on April 29 through Saturday, May 2 in Johannesburg.

Triple H spoke about this new exploration for WWE’s talent search. He said that South Africa is known for producing tough individuals. Now WWE is looking to bring some of the strongest and most entertaining to the Performance Center.

“South Africa is renowned for producing tough, uncompromising athletes proven by the hugely dominant performance of the Springboks rugby team last year to become world champions. I want to bring those same dynamic, powerful and entertaining qualities from South Africa’s best male and female athletes to WWE. My message to every athlete and performer in South Africa is simple: This is your chance to change your life. Take this opportunity to follow your dream and represent South Africa on the global stage as a WWE Superstar.”

Former WWE Superstars PJ Black and Adam Rose are from South Africa. There could be plenty more to come soon enough.

We’ll have to see who WWE will be able to find in this new talent search. It’s likely that hopeful future WWE Superstars will travel great distances for a chance to be seen by WWE’s recruiting scouts.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
