Matt Hardy had an impressive career in WWE. Now he has moved on.

Hardy had a few stints in WWE. He also made comment in his announcement video last night that he hopes to be back. WWE might echo that sentiment as they released an official thank you to Matt Hardy for his contributions to the company.

WWE thanks @MATTHARDYBRAND for his contributions to sports-entertainment and the WWE Universe and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

The write-up on WWE’s website lauded his accomplishments in the company as a former ECW Champion and an 11-time Tag Team Champion under the company umbrella. He is also a former European, United States, Hardcore, and Cruiserweight Champion. Hardy also won the Fifth Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34.

It is very interesting that WWE would release such an announcement confirming Hardy’s contract expiration. The company also did something similar when addressing Jon Moxley’s departure.
