WWE Superstars are public figures and some scammers figure that they can take advantage of wrestling fans. This is why you have to be so careful when following accounts that you assume belong to your favorite Superstars.

Sonya Deville needed to make sure that everyone on her timeline got the message today. She had to tweet out: “This is my only real account.” Apparently, she’s had some scammers using her name to get to fans.

Sonya Deville isn’t alone. Shayna Baszler has needed to speak up multiple times when someone tried to use her name to get cash from fans.

Carmella joked back at Deville as she replied saying: “What about the @sonyadeville17391910 who messaged me on IG? Should I not have Venmo’d you $900?!?!?”

Obviously, Carmella was joking, but other fans might not have been able to tell the difference. Just know that WWE Superstars make enough cash that they don’t need to ask fans for a loan, especially if it comes in the form of gift cards.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
