FOX brought some WWE action onto their 2019 Countdown special. R-Truth showed up, but could he keep the title until 2020?

As R-Truth was hanging out on the FOX New Year’s Eve special at Times Square, Mojo Rawley appeared out of nowhere. Then it was revealed that Maria Menounos was wearing a referee shirt.

Mojo rolled Truth up to become WWE 24/7 Champion. He would later gloat about this victory on Twitter saying:

Me and my homegirl @mariamenounos celebrating my 24/7 Championship Victory in #TimesSquare on #FOX! Maria and I are working on a new partnership so stay tuned!! @WWEonFOX #NYE2020 #NYEonFOX #STAYHYPED

Rawley’s reign as champion didn’t last long. WWE provided an update of the segment. It was written on their official website:

On the scene in Times Square was Elias, who blasted Rawley with his guitar as he tried to find an escape route, allowing R-Truth to swoop in and reclaim the 24/7 Title live on FOX.

It looks like R-Truth will be adding to his impressive number of reigns that smashed Raven’s number. He will also be running into 2020 as the WWE 24/7 Champion.
