WWE only has a few days to build toward their yearly TLC pay-per-view. We saw some matches booked during RAW this week, but they don’t have a full card yet. One match might not happen due to injury.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Shinsuke Nakamura is set to defend his WWE Intercontinental Title against Braun Strowman. At least that match was booked a week ago. The angle to set this feud in motion needed to be cancelled last week.

“Nakamura and Strowman — they were supposed to do an angle on Friday Night SmackDown, but they couldn’t because Strowman got hurt and he couldn’t do the angle.”

It was reported that Strowman is suffering from back spasms, but the official company line is that he is dealing with “a hip injury, but it’s nothing serious — but he missed a couple of days.”

Either way, Strowman couldn’t participate in an angle with Shinsuke Nakamura last week. Let’s just see if the Monster Among Men can heal up and get his TLC match.
