The fact that CM Punk is back in the world of wrestling courtesy of his stint on WWE Backstage can only be a good thing. Fans love to watch him, Punk loves to critique the wrestling and FOX clearly enjoys his presence on their shows.

Even with that being the case, though, we can’t pretend like it’s possible to erase the past. There’s a whole lot of bad blood between WWE and Punk that we’d imagine is still lingering a little bit, with some very specific details still being recalled by many from his podcast with Colt Cabana.

Punk revealed some harsh truths about the company at the time, and he felt the need to remind the masses of that on social media when he looked back to a particularly unfortunate incident from back in 2013.

After all that happened during the latter stages of Punk’s tenure with the company, many will be surprised that he’s even agreed to be part of the WWE family again in the first place.

There’s an argument to be made that he isn’t actually a part of the family at all and is instead just a FOX employee, but the rumors regarding him potentially stepping back into the ring aren’t going to subside straight away.

An entire lawsuit was formed in order to get to the bottom of the story between Punk and WWE, which is one of the main reasons as to why everyone was so shocked when his music hit on WWE Backstage a few weeks back.
