The Shield debuted 7 years ago today at Survivor Series in 2012. It might seem like it wasn’t that long ago, but time flies in pro wrestling.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are the only two members of The Hounds Of Justice still in WWE. Jon Moxley left the Dean Ambrose name behind, but that didn’t stop Roman Reigns from paying tribute to history today as he wrote:

7 years ago. 3 hungry dudes ready to take over the world debuted in @WWE.
Multiple world championships.
Main events around the world.
Money made. Families grown.
Taking our own paths but will always be brothers. #TheShield

We’ll have to wait and see if The Shield ever gets another run as a duo or WWE could possibly place a new third man in Ambrose’s vacant slot. That might not be met with the best reception, but you never know what will happen in WWE.

Seth Rollins read this tweet from The Big Dog and replied with a fist bump.
