Cain Velasquez hasn’t wrestled for WWE yet, but he had two matches under a mask with AAA. That is the extent of his in-ring experience, but he is a huge name in MMA and a crossover star with multi-year WWE contract.

WWE Crown Jewel will see a rematch of Cain Velasquez vs Brock Lesnar, but it will be in a pro wrestling ring this time around. Although he did train for his previous matches, Velasquez is still green when it comes to WWE’s style.

Dave Meltzer noted during Wrestling Observer Radio that Cain Velasquez will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this Thursday. He will continue to train there until they take off for WWE Crown Jewel.

“Cain’s going on Thursday to Orlando and he’ll be there until they go to Saudi Arabia.”

Cain Velasquez learned some good lucha things that he performed in AAA, but WWE might have a different idea for his in-ring style as a former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

It will be interesting to see if they write Rey Mysterio’s influence into his move set because Velasquez can pull off a flipping springboard stunner.
