Cain Velasquez will be battling Brock Lesnar at the Crown Jewel event on October 31st in Saudi Arabia, but that won’t be his final match in WWE.

Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports that WWE has signed Velasquez to a multi-year contract. The financial aspects of this deal were not released, but it had to have been substantial.

Velasquez was talking to every major pro wrestling company on the planet except for CMLL. Now he has signed with the largest company in WWE.

It was also reported that this marks Cain Velasquez’s retirement from the MMA world. Velasquez quietly pulled out of the USADA testing pool recently so this is just the next step in his career.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
