WWE is stacking a big event for October 6th, but they aren’t booking one big match yet.

Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Title against Brock Lesnar during the first Fox broadcast of SmackDown Live on October 4th. This defense is just two days before their Hell In A Cell event.

Due to the close proximity of the SmackDown debut and Hell In A Cell, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the WWE Title match plans for Hell In A Cell are currently “on hold.”

Even the WWE title is on hold, with the big match coming two days earlier on the FOX SmackDown debut with Kofi Kingston defending against Brock Lesnar.

This doesn’t mean that the WWE Title will be defended at Hell In A Cell, but it is interesting how WWE booked this match so close to their pay-per-view. We will have to wait and see what happens, but there are already two Hell In A Cell matches scheduled for the event as well.
