WWE released video last night detailing several NXT injuries. As it turns out, it’s possible that not all of them are legit.

It should be noted that Kona Reeves’ injury was legit due to the fact that he actually required five stitches to repair his busted cheek. Joaquin Wilde’s possible orbital bone injury is also different as it was part of another report.

PW Insider noted that WWE could be using these injury update videos to kayfabe fans a little bit. It could explain a Superstar’s absence as well.

If WWE’s idea here is to fill in blanks on why characters disappear for a bit, it’s a smart idea, even if the injuries are storyline.

We’ll just have to see how long Velveteen Dream is out of action. He was part of that injury update as it was said he was experiencing “lumbar pain.”

Arturo Ruas’ situation might be a storyline as well because they said that he is awaiting X-rays after Pete Dunn “broke his fingers.”
