AEW Signs Big Name WWE Was Looking To Get

AEW and WWE will be battling for more than just viewers on Wednesday nights because they are also after the same talent.

PW Insider reports that AEW has signed Tony Schiavone to a contract while WWE was showing interest as well. It was noted that AEW “headed WWE off at the pass.”

Schiavone will also remain with MLW as their announcer under their deal. Therefore, his situation with MLW has not changed. However, there will certainly be a lot more of Tony Schiavone on television.

It was previously reported that MLW needs to approve any other outside projects people under contract with them are a part of. They did this with MJF, but it also appears that Tony Schiavone is getting the same treatment.
